Caryn Hughes

Caryn’s research involves a multi-disciplinary approach to urological cancer diagnosis and anti-cancer drug efficiency under the supervision of both Dr Peter Gardner at the Multidisciplinary Biocentre and Dr Mick Brown of the Genito-Urinary Cancer Research Group led by Professor Noel Clarke at the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research.

Further Collaboration:

Dr Kevin Flower, designing novel organometallic anti-cancer compounds at the Chemistry Department of The University of Manchester

Dr Duncan Smith, leading our proteomics research at the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research

Previously, Caryn obtained a 2:1 Master of Chemistry (Honours) with Industrial Experience from the University of Manchester. During her degree, she spent a placement year working as a Research and Development Chemist for Reaxa Ltd. in Manchester.
